Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life ~ unknown
There is this expression about “your job or your life” – as if you need to make a choice. As if these concepts are opposites. As if working is a necessary evil. Quite the contrary: one of the best things in life is a job into which you can put your heart and soul, a job that gives you fulfilment.
In English there is this beautiful term: ‘your sweet spot’. It refers to the place where the following elements converge:
- where you excel at it (your skills)
- where you forget the time when doing it (your passion)
- someone, a group or the world needs it (your mission)
- and you are paid for it as well
I am a licensed Firework Career Coach and I use this approach and method for all my career coaching clients. This method offers a beautiful model built around 3 distinct phases. There are also a number of valuable and indispensable homework exercises to feed into the actual coaching sessions. At the end of the coaching journey you will take away a focused image of your ideal career. We always bring it to a close with the creation of your personal action plan. At the end you will go home with the blueprint of the results of our sessions – something you can fall back on and that you can also further develop and finetune.
"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." ~ Mark Twain

The term ‘career coaching’ does not fully cover the process I went through with Anne. She has a very holistic view on coaching and approaches you as a person who is motivated by the mind, heart and gut. Her erudition and vast experience immediately made me feel confident that I was in good hands. Anne listens with a very open mind, without prejudice, which makes it natural for you to open up. She succeeded in putting me (back) in touch with my personal values, and to realistically integrate them in my daily life, both on a personal and professional level. The coaching sessions gave me a view on the professional path I want to follow, but also very useful tools to shape these changes.
