My name is Anne and with Momentum Coaching I coach and accompany people in their search towards the realisation of their dreams.
I have been happily married to Mark for more than 30 years now and together we have 3 beautiful grown-up children: Niko, Nina and Benjamin and 3 grandsons: Delano, Livio and Fons.
I am the living example of the saying 'you are never too old to learn'. Indeed, coaching was not my first calling. After an interesting career at the Catholic University of Leuven, I started my own company as Professional Conference Organiser, which fitted some of my talents well, and I discovered a fascinating world of science and innovation.
However, after 18 successful years, the work could no longer offer me the fulfillment I was looking for and I became keenly aware of other themes that were closer to my heart in this phase of my life. This brought me to the fruitful path of coaching. I also discovered that these themes had already been present for quite some time:
- I have always had a clear preference for the natural course of things. As a person and as a coach I firmly believe in the natural creativity and resourcefulness of my clients to take their lives in their own hands and to solve their own problems. By extension Mother Nature is a powerful source of inspiration to me. ''' and ‘' are blogs that I wrote about this. This is also linked to
- Another theme that emerged is empathy. I easily sense the emotions of people around me, as if they were my own. It takes me little effort to see the world from someone else’s point of view. As a coach this strength is essential. In addition, I learned to be very present and to listen without judgment.
- I have also always been very enterprising and creative. I was an entrepreneur for 18 years, with my own company in conference organisation, employing 4 persons at its peak. When this no longer offered me the fulfillment I sought, I promptly changed course. As a coach I also want for my clients to take the steps and actions required that lead to a greater fulfillment in life.
- Last but not least, there is the theme of service-mindedness towards others. The link to coaching strikes me now as well. To make a difference, to help others make their dreams come true and reach their potential, is what attracts me in this work.
